eChunnel

eChunnel is a proprietary utility eSolutions designed for the SECURE transmission
of files. It can be used to transmit files from you to us at eSolutions, or from
eSolutions to you. eChunnel simplifies and expedites the automated process of transmitting
files.

eChunnel uses HTTP communications between the eChunnel client and the web server.
All data is passed over Port 80. All files are encrypted using
Rijndael (AES)
encryption with a 256 bit key, the maximum encryption strength.

eChunnel responds to file system events created by the operating system to know
when a file has been created in a monitored folder. A synchronization process also
runs on a schedule to be sure there are no missed files. eChunnel keeps track of
the name, size, and location of the files it has transmitted, as well as a hash
of the file contents. Because the file is not considered successfully transferred
until a success response is received from the web server, a dropped connection would
flag the file as unsuccessful and allow it to be resent later.
Install times will vary based on the capability of the machine eChunnel is being
installed on. For newer machines with the Microsoft .NET Framework already installed,
you can be up and running in less than 5 minutes. If the Microsoft .NET Framework
needs to be downloaded and installed, it may take up to 15 minutes.
